NSW man to face court for act of indecency

A 42-year-old man from Frenchs Forest, NSW will face the ACT Magistrates Court today (Friday, 20 November 2020) charged over an act of indecency.

Police allege that about 12.50pm on Friday, 1 May 2020, the man was working as a carer at a nursing home in Weston, ACT.

At this time, another carer observed the man allegedly commit an act of indecency against a 91-year-old patient at the nursing home.

The incident against the woman was immediately escalated to the centre’s management, with the matter reported to police a short time later.

Following a police investigation, which included forensic and DNA testing, the man was charged with one count of indecent assault.
