Woman assisting police with enquiries following Forrest shooting

A woman is assisting police with their enquiries in relation to a shooting in Forrest on Tuesday (5 November 2019).

Police are continuing their investigations into the shooting around 8am on Tuesday on Dominion Circuit which resulted in one woman being hospitalised to treat gun shot and shrapnel wounds.

A 27-year-old man faced the ACT Magistrates Court yesterday on charges relating to this incident.  No charges have been laid against the woman who is assisting police with their enquiries.  

ACT Policing is also requesting assistance from anyone who may have dash-cam or CCTV footage of a small blue Hyundai Getz (without registration plates) driving in the area Erindale between the hours of 7pm and 8pm on Monday 4 November 2019, Weston Creek between 8am and 11am on Tuesday 5 November 2019 and Wanniassa between the hours of midnight and 6am on Tuesday 5 November 2019.

Police have spoken to a number of witnesses, however anyone with information who has not yet spoken to police is urged to contact police operations on 131 444. Please quote reference 6457676. Information can be provided anonymously.
