Witnesses sought; Giralang robbery

ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to an aggravated robbery in Giralang early this morning (Friday 5 June).

About 3.05am, a man entered the Seven-Eleven convenience store on Canopus Crescent, Giralang, and threatened a staff member with a hammer, demanding cash. The staff member complied and the offender fled on foot with a sum of cash.

The man was described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 5’7” (170cm) tall and of a medium build. He was wearing a black jacket, dark pants, a black beanie and sunglasses.

ACT Policing and AFP Forensic Services attended and examined the scene. CCTV footage is being sought by police. Investigations are ongoing.
