Witnesses sought following aggravated robbery in Weston

ACT Policing is calling for witnesses to an aggravated robbery at Cooleman Court, Weston last night (Sunday 7 July 2019).

Police were informed that at about 6.15pm a man and a woman were in a laneway at Cooleman Court when they were approached by a male teenager who allegedly produced a metal weapon and demanded they hand over a mobile phone. 

The couple complied and the teen ran away towards the carpark on the southern side of the shopping centre.

The teen is described as Caucasian, approximately 175cm tall and he was wearing a dark coloured hoodie and dark pants.  

Police believe a number of witnesses may have seen the incident or the teen running away and are urging them to come forward.
