Witnesses sought to city traffic incidents

ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to a series of traffic incidents that occurred yesterday afternoon (Thursday, 12 March 2020).

Between 3.30pm and 4.00pm on London Circuit, Constitution Avenue, Commonwealth Avenue bridge and Coranderrk Street a blue Subaru station wagon with registration YKU88B was seen driving erratically.

The vehicle was observed swerving between cars, driving on the wrong side of the road and failing to stop at several red lights. 

The vehicle eventually collided with another vehicle at the intersection of Coranderrk Street and Constitution Avenue.  The male driver of the Subaru has run away following the collision.

He was described as Caucasian, with short brown hair and was wearing a blue T-shirt and shorts.

Members of the public who witnessed the Subaru driving erratically or who have dash-cam footage of it, are urged to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 quoting job reference 6508576.
