ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to an aggravated robbery at the Eastlake Football Club on Oxley Street, Griffith on Sunday 2 July.

About 2.00am, three men entered the club through the entrance near the outdoor smoking area on Eyre Street. The men were armed with knives and threatened a staff member, making demands for cash.

The victim complied, and the men left the club through the same entrance. It is believed the offenders then fled the area in a vehicle parked on Oxley Street, driving in the direction of Dawes Street.

The first man is described as Caucasian in appearance, about 178cm (5’10”) tall. The second man is described as 178cm (5’10”) tall. The third man is described as 186cm (6’1”) tall. All three men were of a slim to medium build, with an Australian accent and were wearing gloves, hooded tops and coverings over their faces.

Crime Manager, Detective Sergeant Stephen Ladd asked for anyone who witnessed this incident or saw three men matching this description to contact police.
