UPDATE Woman dies following incident in Bruce

ACT Policing is treating this matter as a homicide following the death of a 65-year-old woman in Bruce.

A 70-year-old man remains under police guard in hospital in a serious condition. Police are yet to speak to him in relation to this matter.

A woman has died and a man is in hospital following an incident this evening in Bruce.  

About 5.40pm today (Monday, 23 October 2023) ACT Ambulance Service paramedics and police were called to a residence in Kinloch Circuit, Bruce following reports of a woman with stab wounds.  

Sadly, the woman was pronounced deceased at the scene.  

A man was also located injured at the residence and he was subsequently transported to hospital in a serious condition.  

A crime scene has been established and police are investigating the circumstances of the incident.
