Update - Police seek witnesses to collision in Conder overnight

Update:

ACT Policing would like to thank members of the public for their assistance in relation to the collision last Wednesday (20 December 2017).

Information from the public assisted ACT Policing in identifying the vehicle and an 18-year-old man from Monash as the driver.

ACT Policing have seized the vehicle and will be placing the man before the ACT Magistrates Court at a later date, on several offences.

ACT Policing are seeking witnesses to a collision that occurred in Conder overnight.

About 9.40pm, Wednesday 20 December 2017, a Landcruiser Ute was seen driving erratically in a northerly direction on Tharwa Drive.

Two men were walking across the Mentone View crossing when one of them was struck by the Landcruiser, who failed to stop.

ACT Ambulance Service and ACT Fire and Rescue attended and provided medical assistance to the man who was transferred to hospital.

The Landcruiser is believed to be an early model utility, light coloured with a back tray.

Police are urging anyone who may have any information about the incident or the vehicle that could assist police to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website.
