Truck driver tests positive to driving under the influence of drugs

An interstate truck driver will appear in court next month (December 2019) after testing positive to driving under the influence of drugs.

About 2.45pm on Monday (4 November 2019) police who were conducting a mobile patrol stopped a B-double truck with NSW registration plates on Parkwood Road Macgregor.

The truck driver was given a drug test and returned a positive reading to a prohibited drug. He was taken to City Police Station for further testing.

The 37-year-old man will appear in the ACT Magistrates Court in December charged with driving a motor vehicle under the influence of a prohibited drug.
