Suspicious fire investigation underway in Lyons

ACT Policing is investigating a suspicious fire that occurred in Lyons yesterday (Tuesday, 26 September 2017).

Around 12:20pm, police were called to Strathgordon Court to reports that a unit at the complex was on fire. 

ACT Fire and Rescue attended and extinguished the fire and identified that it had started in a stairwell and had not breached any units.  Smoke from the fire had entered a number of nearby units.

Following an analysis of the scene, police are treating the fire as suspicious.

The circumstances surrounding the fire are being investigated by ACT Policing Criminal Investigations.
