Recidivist property offender to face Court

A 29-year-old recidivist property offender was arrested by police yesterday on a first instance warrant (Thursday, 10 August).

About 12:20pm, members from ACT Policing’s Targeting Team located the male at an address in Holt. In the driveway of the residence was a vehicle stolen from Mitchell on 29 July. Police also located and seized items stolen from Lyneham on 5 August, Holder on 8 August and Yarralumla on 8 August.

A number of other items were also seized by police including a substance suspected to be Methamphetamine and further property suspected of being stolen. Investigations are continuing to determine the owners of the property.

The 29-year-old Scullin man will face the ACT Magistrates Court this morning (Friday, 11 August) on a first instance warrant charged with ride/drive a motor vehicle without consent, receiving stolen property, possessing a prohibited substance.
