Police seize five kilograms of cocaine

Arrested for drug trafficking

ACT Policing has seized five kilograms of cocaine with a street value of $1.5 million from a residence in Theodore.

During the execution of a search warrant yesterday (Tuesday, 7 May 2019) members of ACT Policing Criminal Investigations located five blocks of a substance which preliminary tests identified as cocaine.

Each block weighed approximately one kilogram making this the largest cocaine seizure in the ACT.

A 28-year-old Theodore man was arrested and charged with trafficking a commercial quantity of prohibited drugs. He will appear in the ACT Magistrates Court this morning where police will oppose bail.
