Police seeking witnesses to suspicious fire in Narrabundah

ACT Policing is investigating a suspicious fire which occurred at about 11.40pm last night (Saturday, 31 March 2018) at a residence on Stuart Street, Narrabundah.

ACT Fire and Rescue attended and extinguished the blaze. Unfortunately, the fire resulted in damage to a carport and shed at the location.

A witness has told police they saw a male person walk from the Griffith shops towards Throsby Court. A short time later a fire started in the carport of the residence.

The witness saw the male leave the location, walking along a driveway in a southerly direction towards Gowrie Court, Narrabundah.

The male is described as approximately 6 foot tall (183cm), of slim build, wearing a black hoodie and black pants.

Police are urging anyone who may have witnessed this incident, or have any information which could assist police to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website.
