Police seeking witnesses to daylight robbery at Watson BP

ACT Policing is seeking witnesses or dash-cam footage of a robbery at the BP Service Station, on the corner of Antill Street and the Federal Highway, Watson this morning (Sunday, 14 January 2018).

About 8.35am, after refuelling their vehicle, a male person entered the service station shop, threatened the attendant and left with an amount of cash.

The male is described as Caucasian in appearance, about 180 centimetres tall, about 35-years-old, with a goatee beard. He was of medium/ heavy build, wearing a dark blue cap with a white Seattle Seahawks logo, dark sunglasses, a silver coloured necklace, a dark coloured puffer style sleeveless vest, a long sleeved top with white coloured sleeves and a dark body with white writing, blue trousers and black Adidas running shoes with white stripes.

The male possibly has a full sleeved tattoo on his left arm.

The male left the location in a maroon coloured Mitsubishi station wagon bearing ACT registration YAX86R on the front of the vehicle, but with no registration plate on the rear of the vehicle.

The vehicle drove in a southerly direction along Antill Street, Watson.

ACT Policing are continuing investigations into this incident.

Police are calling for witnesses, anyone who may have dash-cam footage of the Mitsubishi station wagon or information in relation to this incident to contact police on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000. Information can also be provided via the Crime Stoppers ACT website.
