Police seeking witnesses to aggravated robbery in Ainslie

ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to an aggravated robbery that occurred in the Ainslie Football Club car park yesterday (Tuesday, 27 February 2018).

About 3.40pm, police responded to a report of an aggravated robbery with weapons.

Three victims were approached by 3-4 people, who made demands for the keys to their vehicle, a maroon Ford Falcon G6E.

It is alleged a man was in possession of a weapon and a woman was in possession of a knife. The victims complied and no one was injured during the incident.

Police believe the offenders may have arrived in a black Holden Commodore.

ACT Policing’s Criminal Investigations have taken carriage of this investigation, and do not believe this incident is related to the recent aggravated robberies at ACT Clubs.

Police are urging anyone who may have any information or dash-cam footage that could assist police to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website.
