Police seek witnesses to suspicious fire in Phillip

ACT Policing is investigating a suspicious fire in Phillip on Tuesday evening (14 August, 2018).

Around 11.00pm, police attended Dundas Court, Phillip where a business was reported to be alight.

ACT Fire & Rescue attended and extinguished the fire. Following an analysis of the scene, police and fire investigators believe the fire to be suspicious.

Police have reviewed CCTV footage from the business, which shows an offender approach the premises with an object on fire, which is then thrown into the premises through a broken window.

Police would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or who may have dash cam footage of Dundas Court or the surrounding area between 9.00pm, Tuesday 14 August 2018, and 12.00am Wednesday 15 August 2018.
