Police seek witnesses to aggravated burglary and suspicious activity

Seeking witnesses

ACT Policing is calling for anyone in the area of Charnwood, Flynn and Fraser to come forward if they have experienced minor thefts or witnessed suspicious activity over the past weekend.

Officers are investigating a series of incidents that are believed to have occurred in the early hours of Sunday, 13 August, 2023.

About 1.00am, two men allegedly entered a residence in Fraser and stole bank cards and a vehicle. These bank cards were subsequently used in payWave offences throughout Gungahlin and Belconnen.

The same men are believed to have attended another residence in Fraser at about 4am that same morning and knocked on the front door to lure the occupant outside. The occupant did not open the door and the men left in the stolen vehicle.

The alleged offenders are believed to have also committed other offences in Fraser, Flynn and Charnwood around the same time.

Anyone who witnessed these incidents, or who may have information regarding the incidents is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website.
