Police seek vehicle in relation to shooting and arson incident in Calwell

ACT Policing’s Taskforce Nemesis has released CCTV footage of a vehicle believed to be involved in the shooting and arson incident in Calwell on Thursday, 28 June 2018.

About 10.45pm, shots were fired at two residences and three cars were set alight. One person was injured in the incident and was treated at the scene by ACT Ambulance Service before being transported to hospital.

Detectives have obtained footage which depicts a stolen silver Toyota Prado, with ACT registration YIM27R in the vicinity prior to the incident.

The vehicle was seen at about 10.40pm on Carter Crescent turning left onto Outtrim Avenue infront of another vehicle.

Police are urging anyone who may have any information, including the driver of the second vehicle, anyone who saw the vehicle that night or has any dash-cam footage of the Calwell area, to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website.
