Police seek to identify alleged offender in indecent act

Witnesses sought

Police are seeking to identify a male who entered Just Jeans in Westfield Woden and committed an indecent act on a female employee.

On Thursday 10 August 2017, about 2.00pm a male entered Just Jeans and asked the female employee to try on a jacket for sizing. He bought the jacket but stayed in the store until the other customers had left before approaching the employee.

The male asked the employee if he could take a photo with her, and while she was taking the photo the male touched her inappropriately. She pushed him away and he left the store.

The male is described as being Indian Sub-Continental in appearance, aged in his 40’s, a medium to large build with dark hair and a beard. He was wearing a black hat, a tracksuit and a vest.

Police are asking anyone who may have noticed the male in the store or who can identify him from the image to contact police.
