Police release CCTV of Dunlop burglary

Witnesses sought

ACT Policing is seeking the public’s assistance to identify two offenders pictured in CCTV during the burglary of the Woolworths Supermarket in Dunlop on Sunday 18 June.

About 4.20am, a vehicle stopped outside the front entrance to the Woolworths Supermarket on Lance Hill Avenue in Dunlop. Two offenders exited the vehicle and used several large rocks to smash through the front glass doors of the supermarket.

Both offenders entered the supermarket and removed drawers containing over 1,200 packets of cigarettes, which they loaded into their vehicle before driving away.

ACT Policing attended the location and canvassed the area for witnesses and CCTV. Investigations are ongoing and Police are seeking information from any member of the public who can assist in identifying the offenders.

The first offender is described as being approximately 175-180cm (5’9”-5’11”) tall with a slim build, wearing black shoes, black and white track pants, a black jumper, red hat and a grey face mask.

The second offender is described as approximately 175-180cm (5’9”-5’11’) tall with a medium build, wearing black shoes, black ¾ pants, a black and grey hooded jumper and a black face mask.

The vehicle is described as a dark-coloured Ford Falcon sedan.
