Police release CCTV of Civic assault

ACT Policing has released CCTV of an assault which occurred inside the Cube nightclub in Canberra City, during the early hours of Saturday 29 April 2017.

About 3.25am, a disturbance occurred on the dance floor involving a number of people. During this disturbance, a male was struck in the face by another male and as a result, suffered facial injuries.

Police are seeking to identify the alleged male offender who is described as Caucasian in appearance, of solid build, with brown hair and a brown beard. Police believe he left the club soon after the altercation, accompanied by two other men.

Police also wish to speak to anyone who witnessed or was involved in the disturbance.

Officer in Charge of City Station, Acting Station Sergeant Brian Tadic said there were many people in the club that may have useful information for police.

“Any information can help. If you witnessed the altercation or know who was involved, please contact police.”

“The Regional Targeting Team conducts regular high visibility patrols in licensed premises and entertainment precincts throughout the ACT.”
