Police recover stolen goods in search warrants

Facing court

An investigation by ACT Policing’s Priority Targeting Team into property crime offences led to the execution of three search warrants around Canberra yesterday (22 September).

Police executed search warrants at properties in Reid, Hawker and Scullin in relation to the ongoing investigation.

Police recovered a significant amount of property, which is believed to be linked to at least fifteen burglaries around the ACT.

Investigators are currently reviewing and identifying the recovered property, which included service medals.

A 29-year-old Dunlop man will face the ACT Magistrates Court today (Saturday, 23 September) charged with receiving stolen property and burglary.

A 54-year-old Scullin man will face court at a later date charged with unlawful possession of stolen property.

A woman will also face court at a later date in relation to possession of goods suspected of being stolen.

Investigations are ongoing and further charges are expected to be laid.
