Police investigate suspicious fire in Nicholls

ACT Policing is investigating a fire that occurred at a house in Nicholls yesterday (Sunday 20 August).

Police attended the location around 3.30am, following reports that a residence was on fire.

ACT Fire & Rescue attended the location and extinguished the fire, which appears to have been deliberately lit. The circumstances surrounding the fire are being investigated by ACT Policing.

A male was transported by ACT Ambulance Service to The Canberra Hospital as a result of the fire.

Police urge anyone who may have seen or heard any suspicious activity in the area of Lexcen Avenue, Nicholls or who has any information that could assist police, to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via act.crimestoppers.com.au. Information can be provided anonymously.
