Police investigate fatal collision in Hume

ACT Policing is investigating a fatal collision that occurred today (Saturday, 28 July 2018) in Hume.

About 9.30am, police, ACT Ambulance and ACT Fire & Rescue responded to a multi-vehicle collision on the Monaro Highway near Mugga Lane.

Unfortunately, an occupant of one of the vehicles died at the scene as a result of injuries sustained in the collision.

This is the seventh fatality on ACT roads this year.

ACT Policing’s Collision Investigation and Reconstruction Team (CIRT) are examining the circumstances surrounding the collision and a report will be prepared for the Coroner.

Police are urging anyone who may have any information, including dash-cam footage that could assist police to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website.
