Police investigate charity bin destroyed by explosion in Chisholm

ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to a dangerous act of vandalism on Friday 30 June.

About 11.00pm, police were called to Chisholm Shops following reports of a disturbance at the location. On arrival, police located a charity bin that had been destroyed by an explosion.

The Bomb Response Team was called to the location and deemed the area safe.

Station Sergeant Chris Meagher said he was very disappointed by this incident.

“It is disheartening to see the destruction of an item belonging to a charity organisation, but it is also an incredibly dangerous act,” said Station Sergeant Meagher.
