Police closely monitor Outlaw Motorcycle Gang

OMCG member to face Court following seizure of drugs, firearms, ammunition and explosives

ACT Policing will be closely monitoring members from the Comanchero Outlaw Motorcycle Gang (OMCG) as they travel to Canberra on their National Run this weekend (19 and 20 August).

Police are expecting up to 180 Comanchero OMCG members to be in the ACT, with members travelling from New South Wales, Queensland, Victoria and Western Australia.

ACT Policing’s Taskforce Nemesis will be assisted by Traffic Operations and General Duties members in addressing criminal activity and any intimidating or threatening behaviour over the weekend.

ACT Policing’s Taskforce Nemesis is a dedicated police team targeting OMCGs, and ensures that when events like this occur, police have the resources to ensure any impact on our community is minimal.

If members of the community are concerned by the presence of OMCGs and require police attendance, please call 131 444.

If you do not require police attendance, suspicious activity can be reported to Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website. Information can be provided anonymously.
