Police call for information on Braddon arson

Suspicious fire

ACT Policing is seeking witnesses after responding to reports of a suspicious fire in Braddon early Monday morning (19 June, 2023).  

About 5.35am ACT Fire & Rescue firefighters and police officers attended a recently opened tattoo business on Elouera Street where an internal sprinkler system had already extinguished the blaze.  

There were signs of forced entry about 5am with the fire being deemed suspicious.  

Police believe the offenders entered the premises via an adjourning alleyway and left the scene in a stolen blue-green Toyota Celica. 

The vehicle was recovered on Tuesday, 20 June 2023 and is subject to forensic examination.
