Offenders apprehended in stolen motor vehicle

A 28-year-old Belconnen man and a 20-year-old Page woman will face ACT Magistrates Court today (Wednesday 23 August 2017), and a 22-year-old Coombs woman will appear at a later date, after they were located in a stolen motor vehicle.

About 7:00am yesterday (22 August 2017), police responded to a report of two stolen motor vehicles located at Pine Island, Greenway.

Police attended and located the vehicles. A man entered one of the vehicles and attempted to leave the area. Police directed the male driver to stop and apprehended the occupants of the vehicle.

The 28-year-old man will face the ACT Magistrates Court charged with ride/drive motor vehicle without consent, drive while disqualified, going equipped for theft and a first instance warrant. 

The 20-year-old woman was charged with ride/drive motor vehicle without consent and unlawful possession of stolen property.

The 22-year-old Coombs woman will appear before court at a later date, charged with firearms related offences, ride/drive motor vehicle without consent and possess prohibited substance.
