Man to face court for traffic offences

A 40-year-old man will face the ACT Magistrate’s Court this morning (Tuesday, 6 March 2018) after being arrested in Phillip.

About 4.30pm yesterday (Monday, 5 March 2018) police observed a male driver drinking from a large brown bottle which appeared to be an alcohol container.

After conducting enquiries at the scene, the man was arrested by police and taken to the ACT Watch House, where he was charged with consuming alcohol – driver or driver trainer, drive while right to drive suspended and first instant warrant.
