Man to face court for serious assault

A 21-year-old man from Coombs will face the ACT Magistrate’s Court today (Friday, 23 February 2018).

About 1.20am on Saturday, 17 February 2018, ACT Policing were called to an incident at the Hellenic Club, Phillip where a man had been assaulted by several males. The offenders fled the scene prior to police arriving.

About 6pm on Thursday, 22 February 2018, police located one of the alleged offenders in Weston.

The man was arrested, taken to the ACT Watch House and charged with recklessly inflicting grievous bodily harm. His bail was refused at the City Watch House.
