Man to face court on multiple offences

A 28-year-old man will face the ACT Magistrates Court this morning following an incident on Northbourne Avenue, Turner last night (Wednesday, 3 December 2018).

Just after 10.00pm, the man was allegedly riding a black coloured Kymco scooter along Northbourne Avenue, at speed and in an erratic manner.

In his alleged attempt to evade police, the man hit the gutter and fell from the scooter.

After a violent struggle with police, the man was taken into custody and transported to the ACT Watch House.

He will face the ACT Magistrates Court charged with aggravated furious/reckless/dangerous driving, drive with alcohol in blood, driving while disqualified, ride motor vehicle without consent, destroy/ damage property and resist Territory public official.
