Man to face court for capturing intimate visual data

A 51-year-old Aranda man will appear before the ACT Magistrate Court today (Thursday, 1 March 2018), following an investigation that he photographed women inappropriately without their knowledge. 

Police will allege the man used a mobile telephone to film up female’s skirts.

Yesterday (Wednesday, 28 February 2018), members from ACT Policing’s Regional Targeting Team executed a search warrant at the man’s house in Aranda.

During the search warrant, officers located additional evidence. Further enquiries are being conducted and additional charges are anticipated.

The man has been charged and Police will oppose bail. 

Police are urging anyone who may have any information in relation to this investigation to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website, in particular suspicious behaviour in Macquarie on 9 February 2018 and Civic on 10 February 2018.
