Man to face court on aggravated robbery charge

An 18-year-old man will face the ACT Magistrates Court today following an aggravated robbery at a Belconnen business yesterday (Monday, 16 September 2019).

Police will allege the man entered the café around 1.55pm and threatened two people with a knife and demanded cash. The man left on foot.

Police will allege he then attended a hardware store and stole an angle grinder.

At 2.40pm, police located the man and the stolen property.

The man will face the ACT Magistrates Court today (Tuesday, 17 September 2019) charged with attempt aggravated robbery with an offensive weapon, aggravated robbery with an offensive weapon, theft and common assault.
