Man charged with drink driving following a crash in Lyneham

ACT Policing has charged a 42-year-old man following a drink driving incident in Lyneham earlier this morning (Friday, 23 March 2018).

About 1.00am, officers were conducting a patrol when they responded to a vehicle collision on Mouat Street and Northbourne Avenue, Lyneham.

The driver returned a positive road side breath test. He was taken to City Police Station for a breath analysis and returned a result of 0.128 (which is more than double the prescribed legal limit of 0.05).

The man was charged at the ACT Watch House with driving a motor vehicle with alcohol in blood/breath.

He was granted bail and will appear before the ACT Magistrate’s Court n 29 March 2018.
