Man arrested following aggravated robbery in Ainslie

A 48-year-old Wanniassa man will face the ACT Magistrate’s Court today (Thursday, 1 March 2018) following an aggravated robbery in Ainslie on Tuesday (27 February 2018).

About 3.40pm, police responded to a report of an aggravated robbery with weapons. Three victims were approached, and demands were made for the keys to their vehicle.

About 8.30pm yesterday (Wednesday, 28 February 2018), officers executed a search warrant at a residence in Casey. The man was arrested and conveyed to City Police Station.

The man has been charged with aid/abet/counsel/procure agg. robbery (offensive weapon).

The investigation remains ongoing.
