Man accused of drug trafficking among 34 charges

A 43-year-old Greenway man will face the ACT Magistrates Court today (Saturday, 23 September 2023) on a total of 34 charges including drug trafficking.  

About 4.30am on Friday, 22 September, police executed a search warrant at a residence on Dods Place, Greenway.  

During the warrant, police located and seized a trafficable amount of heroin, six cannabis plants, other substances believed to be illicit drugs, as well as other drug paraphernalia.  

Police also seized prohibited weapons – including a sling shot, two extendable batons, a knuckle duster, and three throwing knives – as well as a large amount of property suspected of being stolen.  

The man was arrested at the scene, and has been charged with a total of 34 offences – drug trafficking, cultivate a controlled plant, two counts of possess declared substance without authorisation, 23 counts of possess stolen property, two counts of possession of property suspected of being the proceeds of crime, and five counts of possess prohibited weapon.
