Gungahlin Police Station has re-opened following remediation works and planned construction at the Gungahlin Joint Emergency Services Centre.

Members of the public can speak to officers at the front office to report crimes, attend for bail requirements or access Justice of the Peace services.

Gungahlin Police Station closed in February 2024 due to the discovery of low level contaminants during planned refurbishment works. Gungahlin officers were relocated to the old Traffic Operations Centre in Belconnen during the closure.

While Emergency Services Agency staff returned to the Joint Emergency Services Centre last week the police portion of the building underwent further commissioning works including the installation of new workstations and other infrastructure.

Importantly, planned construction works at the JESC for 2024 were able to be brought forward, allowing these works to be completed ahead of time.

ACT Policing thanks the community for their patience and understanding during this period and welcomes Gungahlin residents to attend their local police station for police assistance.
