South District Superintendent Scott Moller said police focus on targeting recidivist offenders to reduce crime.

“The seizure of drugs and illegal firearms is a priority for ACT Policing. The ACT is currently participating in a national firearms amnesty, which allows members of the public to surrender unwanted firearms without penalty. The amnesty aims to reduce the number of firearms which could become available to those who seek to cause harm in our community.”

“As police, our focus in on targeting known and recidivist offenders to reduce crime and keep our community safe,” Superintendent Scott Moller said.
