Cannabis seized from Calwell

ACT Policing seized several mature cannabis plants from a residence in Calwell during a search warrant earlier this morning (Tuesday 8 March).

A 25-year-old Calwell man is assisting ACT Policing with enquiries after 22 mature cannabis plants were found in and around his home.

About 6am, General Duties from Tuggeranong Patrol police executed a search warrant on the residence. Police located and seized 16 large plants, seedlings, dried cannabis and hydroponic equipment in a back room of the residence and a further six cannabis plants in a greenhouse in the backyard of the property. 

Tuggeranong Patrol officers are continuing investigations into the matter.AFP Forensics Services attended and examined the residence as part of the ongoing investigation.
