Aggravated robbery in Conder, witnesses sought

ACT Policing is seeking witnesses after an aggravated robbery occurred at the Lanyon Vikings Club around 11:10pm last night (Sunday, 11 June 2017). 

Police attended the location after receiving reports that two men entered the club, armed with a modified nail gun and knife and made demands for cash. 

Staff complied with the demands while the two men continued to make threats. 

As the two men were leaving the club, the man with the modified nail gun shot a number of nails at staff and patrons.  One of the nails struck a staff member in the leg.  The two men fled the club on foot in an unknown direction. 

The injured staff member was conveyed to The Canberra Hospital with minor injuries. 

At the time of the aggravated robbery the offenders had concealed their identity wearing dark clothing, gloves and balaclavas.
