ACT Policing investigating suspicious fire in Jervis Bay

ACT Policing Criminal Investigations are investigating a large bushfire that occurred in the Booderee National Park in Jervis Bay on 14 September 2017. The fire took several days to control, and 1700 hectares of the Booderee National Park were burnt out.

Investigations have determined that the fire was deliberately lit in the early morning of Thursday 14 September.

Police believe that the fire started near Summercloud Bay in the Booderee National Park.  The ignition point is believed to be around a car park area that is popular with surfers and fisherman.
