Why I wear the badge - Senior Constable Shona Davis

Our female police officers are truly brave and powerful women.

They are sisters, friends, daughters, partners, wives and aunts. Some of them are mothers. They're heroes at work and at home. But when they put on their uniform each day, they are part of another family.

They wear the badge because they want to, because they can. They give to others what they would want to give to their families. They go to work each day not knowing if they will come home safely, but they do it to make sure their children have a safe community to grow up in.

Senior Constable Shona Davis is one of these amazing officers. She's a mother of two beautiful girls and she wears the badge because she can be all those things. A woman, a mother and a police officer.
