Woman to face court on multiple fraud charges

A 32-year-old Florey woman will face the ACT Magistrates Court this morning (Monday, November 10) on multiple fraud and theft charges.

Police executed a search warrant on the woman’s home yesterday morning, seizing a number of stolen property items.

The woman was taken into custody and charged with fraud related offences which were committed in Charnwood, Florey and Belconnen.

In one instance, the woman was allowed inside the residence and subsequently stole a credit card and bank card which she later used to purchase goods.

The 32-year-old has been charged with eight (8) counts of Attempt to Obtain Financial Advantage by Deception, two (2) counts of Obtain Property by Deception, one (1) count of Attempt to Obtain Property by Deception and one (1) count of theft.

Police will oppose bail.

Two other people were arrested from the same residence earlier yesterday morning, one for a Breach of Bail and the other on a First Instance Warrant.
