Woman to face court on kidnapping charge

A 21-year-old woman will face the ACT Magistrates Court today (Tuesday, 8 October 2019) on a kidnapping charge.

The woman is the third person to face court for alleged involvement in forcibly confining a man to a residence in Moncrieff on Wednesday, 2 October 2019, during which time he was assaulted and threatened.

The victim was allegedly released by the offenders after a number of hours.

Following an investigation, the woman was arrested yesterday (Monday, 7 October 2019).

The woman will face the ACT Magistrates Court this morning charged with kidnap person who suffers grievous bodily harm at the time. Police will appose bail.
