Woman to face court for arson

A 47-year-old woman was extradited from New South Wales to the ACT today (Tuesday, 23 July 2019) and will face the ACT Magistrates Court tomorrow charged with arson.

On Sunday 21 July 2019, ACT Fire & Rescue and police attended a house fire at an address in Bonython.          

ACT Fire & Rescue extinguished the blaze and rescued three people from the house.

The fire was deemed suspicious and referred to police for further investigation.

The 47-year-old woman will face the ACT Magistrates Court tomorrow charged with arson. Police will oppose bail.
