A 21-year-old Belconnen woman will face the ACT Magistrates court today for drink driving charges after she was apprehended on Friday 26 October, 2018.

About 8.30pm, police responded to a report of a three-vehicle collision at the intersection of Kingsford Smith Drive and Southern Cross Drive in Higgins, where a Ford Kuga had collided with another vehicle which had been pushed into a third vehicle.

The driver of the Kuga, who was subject to a zero blood alcohol limit, provided police with a sample of breath and she returned a positive reading.

The woman was taken to Belconnen Police Station where her breath analysis returned a result of 0.217, more than four times the legal limit of a full licence holder.

Police placed the driver under arrest and she was taken to the ACT Regional Watch House. She will face court today charged with drink driving and breaching bail conditions.
