Witnesses sought to vehicle theft in Greenway

ACT Policing is seeking witnesses or dash-cam footage of a vehicle theft that occurred in Greenway last Monday (11 June 2018).

About 9.30pm, two victims were in the carpark on the corner of Cowlishaw and Reed Street, when they were approached by a man believed to be armed with a weapon.

The man made demands for the keys to their vehicle, a black HSV Club Sport sedan with ACT registration YMN 10S.

The victims complied and the man left the carpark in the vehicle.

The vehicle was last seen on Cowlishaw Street, turning left onto Reed Street.

About 9.45pm, Police received a report of the vehicle being well alight on Point Hut Crossings.

Police are urging anyone who may have any information, including dash-cam or CCTV footage, that could assist police to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website.
