Witnesses sought to robbery of taxi driver

ACT Policing is seeking assistance to identify a man in relation to a robbery which occurred in Weston Creek yesterday morning (Saturday, June 14).

About 4.20am, a taxi driver arrived at the Rivett shops to pick up a fare. The man was driven to an address in Fisher where he produced a knife and demanded money from the driver.

The driver handed over a small sum of cash and the offender left. The offender was last seen in Moura Place, Fisher.

The offender is described as Caucasian in appearance, between 20-25 years of age, approximately 170cm (5’7”) tall, with a thin build and clean shaven. He was wearing a plain black zip-up hooded jacket, a blue or black coloured cap and long dark pants.
