Witnesses sought following acts of animal cruelty

ACT Policing is seeking witnesses following acts of animal cruelty that occurred early on Saturday morning (8 June 2019).

At approximately 3.00am, two chickens were taken from a coop at a child care centre located on Summerland Circuit, Kambah.

The birds were later discovered at a nearby location with injuries consistent with being set alight. One was subsequently euthanized and the other is receiving veterinary care.

Police would like to speak with anyone who saw (or who may have dash cam footage of) people at or near the child care centre early on Saturday morning.
