Witnesses sought to child approach in Phillip

ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to an alleged child approach in Phillip (Woden) yesterday afternoon (Tuesday 6 August 2019).

About 4.45pm, an eight-year-old boy was riding his scooter at Eddison Park in Phillip. A man approached the boy near a set of outdoor gym equipment before the boy ran to his father.

The man was approached by the boy’s father shortly after and ran to the Woden Cemetery Car Park, where he got into a brown/gold Range Rover 4WD. The Range Rover left the car park, driving onto Yamba Drive towards the Canberra Hospital.

The man is described, Caucasian, of medium build, with short hair, clean shaven, wearing a lime green shirt with a logo, blue jeans and work boots.
